On my last fill at 235k the tank took 11.57 litres, the specs quote that the tank holds 12.5ltr so in theory I could have ridden another 20k before sucking air. Can any one verify the real tank capacity or how far you can ride once the reserve light comes on.

I found my Scout was fitted with a no brand battery. The only printing on it was 'Made in China.' in red.
The manual stated that my bike was supposed to be fitted with a Yuasa battery. I contacted Melbourne Indian where I purchased the bike.

They could offer no reason for this and I replaced the battery with the top of the range Yuasa at my expense.
So, check what brand battery is in...
The issue:
After about 70-80 degrees my bike will start to make an whilst or a squeal coming from the engine block.
A. This happens even at idle
B. This seems to be directly related to the revs of the engine (lifting the clutch and in neutral the issue persists)
