Ya know it's funny we are talking about that..... Aussie dollar is coming back up and I go to the states every year..... nearly bought my scout over there last year..... for $10k USD kitted out and shipped it would've cost me $5k less than what I paid here and that was when the Aussie dollar was about 70c....

I thought the gear lever and rear brake had to be swapped as well!

Actually you do gave to convert them. I think you will find the high beam dips to the right on US bikes and to the left for Australian bikes. Not sure though but this ysrd to be the case for cars.

Robbo, you must be pulling my leg. Surely that is not the case with motorcycles.

I looked at importing a Harley back when the $ was near parity.

The cost to import including shipping, GST and compliance not including licence was close to AUD $10,000 on top of purchase price.

Admittedly a Harley purchase state side usually has all the fruit.

When I started searching almost everything was only around 5 to 10 K cheaper than in OZ. Unless you were there and nailed a bargain.

The main down side as I see it ,is it always gonna be a grey import and when you try to sell it guess what, dealers want trade them.

Australia Vin No's start with 5HD and USA compliance are 2HD that can't be changed.

I would guess something similar for stateside Indians.

And What's this with charging $350 for a reflash tune ? I read in the U.S. most dealers don't charge at all and if they do it's only $50 or so.

Over 2 years on, how is this going?
I haven't seen, heard or received anything to do with IMRG apart from the welcome pack.

Hi I would love to feel sorry for you but I have owned my DH since 2015 have been a member of IRMG according to my you beaut member card and the letter that came with it I am a Member until 09/19 earlier tonight something big went wrong in the top end and now my DH she no go rang as you do road side assist only to be told that my membership expired in 2016 so that left me stranded in the middle of bum f#c( without a paddle so rang Craig at Mowtow 0432244724 and he assisted with a big paddle that got me home but had to give him money so I am very happy with road side service. as for 1/4 news letters I was under the opinion that it was a 12 year 1/4 as I am still waiting for my first copy. As for organised rides and events I figured that they would be announced in the 1/4 ly magazine. So you have all my spare sympathy with regards Makwa.
OH and just a little bit of info if you belong to any social bike club i.e. Ulysses most insurance companies will give you 10% discount me thinkem someone speak with talked tongue.
