Not long after I purchased my 2017 Scout it became difficult to start. First check was the battery.

I found my Scout was fitted with a no brand battery. The only printing on it was 'Made in China.' in red.
The manual stated that my bike was supposed to be fitted with a Yuasa battery. I contacted Melbourne Indian where I purchased the bike.

They could offer no reason for this and I replaced the battery with the top of the range Yuasa at my expense.

So, check what brand battery is in your bike.
